Bison may look friend-shaped, but they already have all the friends they want.

A behind-the-scenes look at my own unfiltered shenanigans from the marketing trenches. A real-life, no BS view of what it's really like to market a small business and ideas to make it all feel a whole lot easier!

We give a lot of credit to visuals on the internet - flashy photos, pretty logos, video transitions. But sometimes, the most powerful thing you can post is just… words.

Two of my favorite Instagram accounts prove this time and time again...

No photos. No fancy design. Just words. And yet these are the posts I remember, save, laugh at, and share.

Words stick.

Yet when it comes to marketing, we’re so quick to jump right past them.

Working on a brand? We want the logo, the colors, the fonts.

Building a website? We jump into layouts and photos.

Creating social content? We scroll for trends and aesthetics.

But here’s the thing: if you don’t know what to say, none of that matters.

A pretty logo means nothing without a mission behind it.

A gorgeous website doesn’t convert if you can’t clearly explain what you do.

And even the trendiest Reel flops if you don’t hook someone in the first few seconds.

Words are the foundation of everything in marketing. Period.

I’ll take it a step further - words are the most important part of your marketing. You have to nail your message before you worry about anything else.

Not to sound dramatic, but if you don’t have the words… your marketing is pointless.

I promise I say that with love 💛

Those posts from the National Park Service and Merriam-Webster are a perfect reminder that words alone can connect, entertain, and move people.

Yes, visuals matter. Yes, a beautiful design can make someone stop scrolling.

But if the message isn’t there — if you don’t have the words — none of that matters.

So whether you’re writing your homepage, an Instagram caption, or your next email blast, remember:

Your words don’t have to be perfect.

They just have to be honest. Clear. True.

And maybe even a little bit funny (who knew a stodgy old dictionary could be so funny!).

Here’s to saying what matters - one word at a time.

I know, I know. Writing is hard. Staring down a blank Google Doc is a special kind of torture.

And I promise I won't leave you hanging!

That’s why we built something new.

Introducing: The Content Workbook

This workbook isn’t revolutionary in what it covers, but the way it’s structured is. It’s designed to help you get your website copy written in just a few focused hours.

We break down each section of your site with:

  1. Specific, purpose-driven prompts
  2. Real examples of how words translate to design
  3. ChatGPT prompts to help you get unstuck
  4. A clear roadmap so you never have to stare at a blank screen again

If you put in a few hours to get the words right, we can build a site that’s faster, stronger, and more effective. One that actually works for your business - not just one that looks good.

Pretty websites are just that: pretty.

But without the right words to turn visitors into paying customers?

They’re not doing their job.

Want in?

We’re still in testing mode and want to get this in the hands of more people. So here’s the deal:

⭐ The first 10 people who book a custom website with us will get a $500 credit ⭐

All we ask is that you provide open, honest feedback on the workbook so we can keep refining it!

If you’ve been thinking about finally getting that website launched, now’s your chance.

Oh, and if you're more of the DIY type?

Stay tuned — we’ll be offering the content workbook as a standalone tool soon!

A behind-the-scenes look at my own unfiltered shenanigans from the marketing trenches. A real-life, no BS view of what it's really like to market a small business and ideas to make it all feel a whole lot easier! This week marks the unofficial end of summer for our family - the kids (and my husband) are back to school (insert small happy dance!). While it’s a little sad to see summer go, I’ll admit: I’m ready for the routine again. This is also the season for one of my very favorite...

A behind-the-scenes look at my own unfiltered shenanigans from the marketing trenches. A real-life, no BS view of what it's really like to market a small business and ideas to make it all feel a whole lot easier! We are officially back from our whirlwind summer travels! It all started with a 10-hour drive to Montana for a music festival, 10 hours back to Idaho, a two-day turnaround, and then we were on a plane to New Jersey with two kids in tow for a two-week stay on the East Coast. Concert...

Jiffy Pop

A behind-the-scenes look at my own unfiltered shenanigans from the marketing trenches. A real-life, no BS view of what it's really like to market a small business and ideas to make it all feel a whole lot easier! One of my very favorite things to do is go camping. And this year, for some reason, I decided to resurrect an old-school tradition: Jiffy Pop. You know, that ridiculous shakeable popcorn you hold over the fire? What I forgot is how long it takes to make the stupid thing. The fire’s...
