Between the steak and the wine tasting, we realized we needed something new

A behind-the-scenes look at my own unfiltered shenanigans from the marketing trenches. A real-life, no BS view of what it's really like to market a small business and ideas to make it all feel a whole lot easier!

Earlier this month, our whole team gathered in Boise for our first official team retreat (and also couldn't resist a photoshoot!).

Since none of us live in the same city, this was kind of a big deal. We don’t get to be in the same room very often, so three full days together was insanely fun.

Like any good tourists, we made meals and libations a priority and had an absolute blast hopping from restaurant to restaurant (many of whom we have built websites for but never visited in person!).

But between the steak (from the famous Stagecoach in Boise) and the wine tastings (hello Parcero Wine Bar), we also did some deep work.

And we kept circling back to one big question...Are our services still aligned with what small business owners actually need right now?

For a long time, we’ve focused on empowering people to do it themselves and provide support along the way.

Because the truth is, you can build your own website. You can update it. You can run your own social media.

And that approach still works for a lot of folks. But lately, we’ve seen a shift.

Our clients aren’t short on ability. They’re short on time.

More and more we have been hearing one line: "I need to get a website built, but I honestly cannot find the time to sit down and get organized."

And when time runs short, projects stall. Websites sit half-finished for months. Marketing plans gather dust. It’s not because anyone’s doing it wrong, it’s just that running a business takes everything you’ve got.

So at our team retreat, we started asking: how can we take more off your plate?

The answer...a brand new take on our website packages.

Here’s the new framework:

Give us 90 minutes, and we’ll build you a complete, professional, five-page website.

Yep, you read that right. Ninety minutes of your time. That’s it.

Your new site will be written, designed, and developed - built to look great and work hard for your business. It’ll check every box from SEO to conversions, so it’s not just pretty… it’s actually working 24/7.

We’ve quietly tested this process with a few clients, and the results have been incredible. The builds are faster, less stressful, and surprisingly, a lot more fun for us, too! Clients leave relieved, excited, and confident. And on our end? We feel the same way.

That’s the beautiful part.

When we take the time to improve how we serve others, it ends up improving things for us, too.

We walked away from our retreat more organized, less stressed, and so energized for what’s next.

The full launch (complete with a fun holiday promo) is coming in a couple of weeks, but you, my friend, just got the first peek.

Stay tuned. Big things are coming!

Welp, we’ve officially entered "Peak Marketing Season..." that magical-but-also-kinda-feral window of time where every business on the planet is barreling toward December 31st like the Energizer Bunny. Everywhere you look ads are yelling it’s “Black Friday!” “Cyber Monday!” “Shop...

A real-life, no BS view of what it's really like to market a small business and ideas to make it all feel a whole lot easier! The holidays are one of my very favorite times of year. The twinkle lights, the smells, the music, the general excuse to eat fudge at 9 a.m. But I’ve also learned that the holidays have a special way of exposing… shall we say, my “less charming” traits. Mainly, that I am (how do I...
